Community Foundation of Washington County

Showing love on a growing brand

After asset growth of $60 million in less than 30 years, CFWC deserved their own brand identity.

The Community Foundation of Washington County had existed for many years (and seen great success) without a brand standards. After a thorough Strategic Design process with the Board of Directors and staff, Wimbly Stoke was hired to reimagine the vision of CFWC through their next years of growth.

Nostalgic Symbolism in Brand Design

Remember the magic of wishing on dandelion bristles? That nostalgic memory represents the same hope and joy that the Community Foundation spreads in Washington County. With one gift, your donation will last generations.

Many thanks to continued partnership with Origin Design Co. for their work on this design!

Mobile-friendly Website Design

Web Design for the young and the wise

This website had two distinct audiences: prospective donors who were usually (but not always) an older and wiser audience, and… High schoolers.

The website reflects accessibility and color recommendations for older eyes, while the scholarship pages use brighter tones and less contrast to catch the attention of the younger (and quick moving) digital audience.

Print Design that makes the Impact

For years, the annual report for the Community Foundation of Washington County (CFWC), called The Impact, had listed all funds, scholarships winners, sponsors, and new donors. As CFWC grew, so did the Annual Report, and it eventually spanned 50+ pages.

The staff and the Board of Directors agreed that the organization has always preferred to act nimbly and on a tight budget, to maximize the efforts of donor gifts and their funds. With a “red pen” review, we reorganized, rewrote, and redesigned the Annual Report to be a power-packed 20 page report of Impact.
